The meaning of the verses is clear from its words.
In this way, because of remaining protected from the hell, they become eligible to be called as the muttaqi, i.e., the pious ones).
This book is a guidance for the ALLAH-fearing (who fear ALLAH, obey his commands and stay away from forbidden. If people are getting doubts on its commands, then it is due to lack of their understanding and some knowledge defect in them, not in the book. There is no doubt in it being true and perfect. Means, the book itself states truth and right matters. Or it could also be said that the purpose is to clarify the doubts of people. And the words with their meanings of the Holy Quran are superior, true and victorious over its rejectors. The real intention behind this word ‘rayb’ is not to claim that people will not have any doubt in it but it is to say that there is no doubt that it is the book of Almighty ALLAH. In order to clear this doubt itself, the related sentence, associated with the word ‘rayb (doubt)’ is (Indeed from Almighty ALLAH). If there were no doubts in it, everyone should have been muslims. Here, it is said that there is no doubt in the Holy Quran, whereas people of all time raised doubts in it. There might be one objection in someone’s mind. How is it said that there is no doubt in the Holy Quran? And by ‘zalika’ the indication is towards the chapter “Alif lam Mim” itself. Or it can be said that, the chapters which were revealed before and the people neglected it, for them it is being said, that the book is without any doubt (from ALLAH). Or it is used to point towards the highest status and grandeur of the Holy book. In order to point out about the said book, the far demonstrative pronoun ” ‘zalika'(that)” is used otherwise the near demonstrative pronoun ” ‘hadha'(this)” should have come. Since more Jews were present there in whose book of Taurah, it was informed about the revelation of the Holy Quran. The chapter Al-Baqarah is a Madani chapter.
